Rykneld Homes actively seeks to assist elderly or disabled people who wish to remain in their property and live as independently as possible by:
Carrying out minor adaptations
Ranging from grab rails to sliding doors, enabling residents to move more freely around their property minimising their need for assistance.
Carrying out major adaptations
Major adaptations can include stair lifts, adapted bathrooms and kitchens, external handrails and ramps. In extreme circumstances extensions to properties are also considered where other suitable accommodation cannot be found.
Locating to more suitable accommodation
Rykneld Homes has many properties which are already fully or partially adapted that may be more suitable to meet your needs. If a property is available this may be offered as an alternative to adaptation work under the Tenants Incentive Scheme. In certain circumstances to those willing to move, a cash incentive may be offered or assistance with the move, such as:
- Help to organise the move
- Assistance with redirecting mail
- Disconnecting and reconnecting appliances
