Repairs and Maintenance

Rykneld Homes manages, maintains and repairs around 8,200 Council homes. We carry out responsive repairs (repairs you report to us), repairs to vacant homes (voids), servicing to heating appliances and smoke alarms.
We also carry out planned schemes to maintain and improve homes and to achieve the Government’s Decent Homes Standard.
For a paper copy of our Repairs and Safety Handbook please contact us or call into your local Area Housing Office or One Stop Shop. To help you identify and report a repair, please view the Repairs and Safety Section of the Tenant's Handbook.
To view the Planned Repairs timetable click here. A Planned Repair is where there is no risk to health and safety and no imminent risk to the fabric of the building. These repairs are batched by area. We will visit each area three times a year - once every 17 weeks.
Tenants are informed when we will be on their area to complete repairs and it will provide an opportunity to pick up other non-urgent work.
