If you are having difficulty kepping on top of your bills, we can help you find out what benefits you might be entitled to and advise you on coping with your payments.

Six steps for dealing with debt:
| 1. | Speak to all the companies you are in debt to - they may be able to provide advice and work out a more manageable plan for you to repay them if you tell them about the difficulties you are having. |
| 2. | Work out how much money you have coming in and going out using a budget sheet, making sure you are able to pay at least the minimum payments for each debt. |
| 3. | Pay off your priority debts first - these are debts like rent or Council Tax which could lead to you losing your home or going to prison. |
| 4. | Plan how you are going to pay your less urgent debts, such as an overdraft or credit cards over a longer time period. |
| 5. | Maximise income - look into any benefits or tax credits you can claim. Do not borrow more money to pay off your debts. |
