When you report a repair
Please have the following information ready:.jpg)
- A description of the repair required
You will be asked to refer to the General Advice section of the Repairs and Maintenance booklet in your Tenant's Handbook to help you to identify and describe the problem.
- A diary or a calendar
If it is a responsive repair, we will need to agree a future morning or afternoon appointment with you. Emergency repairs will be responded to the same day or next working day. Give thought about your availability because:
1) It can be difficiult for us to make changes later
2) Unreasonable limitations on access can affect how soon we can carry the work out
3) A responsible adult will need to be present as our operatives are not allowed in your home alone with children under 16
4) Any special circumstances we need to know about, for example if we will need to knock louder because you are hard of hearing
Vulnerable Tenants
In accordance with our Policy for Supporting Vulnerable People, where we identify you or another member of your household as vulnerable, we will tailor our service to meet your particular needs. If you consider yourself to be vulnerable, please let us know when reporting a repair.
