Tenants at a Sheltered Housing scheme in Clay Cross are now enjoying their newly refurbished lounge are.

Rykneld Homes carried out redecoration work and replaced furniture at Marx Court.

Angela Smith, Support and Solutions Manager at Rykneld Homes, said: "The lounge area is a great place for people to meet and come together at Marx Court.  However, it was starting to look worn and tired and ready for redecoration and some new furniture.  We want tenants to make full use of the facilities we provide and by making the room brighter and more appealing, hope it will encourage even greater usage.

"The refurbishment work was carried out as part of our maintenance programme."

The new lounge was officially opened by Mrs Stickland, who is 100-years-old and a resident at Marx Court.
