We asked the group some questions to find out more about the Local History Group's sessions.

"Today we’ve been finding out facts and associating them with our memories. We’ve been recollecting things that have been and gone from days gone by. It’s good to be able to share this knowledge and also hear stories that others have to share.
"With the memories which we have shared today we have written a timeline of events in Clay Cross from the past to the present.
"It’s really interesting and you learn lots of new things. It’s interesting to read and talk about local history and we jog each others memory as not everything has been recorded in books. I’d really encourage people to come along and try it out as it would be nice for others to share their experiences and knowledge.
"I enjoy everything about coming here to the memory lane session and listening to everyone’s stories and getting together."
The Hub Local History Group sessions take place every Friday between 1pm – 3pm with free tea, biscuits and cake. If you would like to get involved or for more information please get in touch with our Community Involvement Team by calling 01246 217670.
