The hard work of Community Improver Emily Turner earned her a special award from Rykneld Homes this summer.
Emily is the longest serving young person, having joined the group back in 2010. Over the seven years she has shown fantastic commitment and a strong work ethic, completing 350 voluntary hours. Some of the work Emily has done includes litter picking, gardening, helping at fun days, arts and nature projects.
Through the group Emily completed her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, Community Sports Leader Award, First Aid training and various other courses which have helped her to achieve full time employment.
The 19-year-old was presented with flowers and a certificate at Rykneld's 10th Anniversary event as a big thank you for all her hard work.
