The Rykneld Homes Community Involvement Team has provided Dementia Friends training to a total of 16 staff at Sharley Park Leisure Centre.
Rykneld Homes is committed to increasing the knowledge and understanding of the condition in our communities.
In November the Community Involvement Team went along to Sharley Park Leisure Centre in Clay Cross to continue our work to support Dementia Friendly communities.
By providing the training we have enabled the leisure centre staff to become Dementia Friends. This means that the staff can now recognise and understand the symptoms of dementia and have the knowledge of how to support a person living with the condition.
We returned again towards the end of November to provide the training to an additional seven staff members.
