The Community Involvement Team went along to Marx Court in Clay Cross to make some delicious homemade soup with the residents.
We wanted to promote healthy eating on a budget and were able to make 14 servings of vegetable soup costing less than £8.
Jason Sadler, Community Involvement Officer said, “All the residents that came along enjoyed getting involved with the soup making and helping us to chop the vegetables up. It was an easy recipe for us to make, we simmered the vegetables for 30 minutes and then blended it together.
“The residents were able to take home the extra servings to eat at a later time as a nice warm, healthy winter meal”.
