Our previous Community Roadshows in 2019:
Our Killamarsh event was held at Killamarsh Junior Athletics Club. We were delighted to receive support from lots of local groups, including Killamarsh Heritage Society which organised a fantastic display of old photographs of the village.
Cllr Pat Bone attended the event and said, "People were interested in the old photographs, learning about the history of the village and sharing their memories. The event brought the community together."
Our Stonebroom roadshow was held on the hottest day of the year (the day that saw the UK Summer record broken at 38.7°C!) The event was held at the Parish Pavilion which was a great venue for all the fantastic activities on offer - including KMX racing bikes from Derbyshire County Council which was a big success.
We organised the event at the Eckington Friendship Club, and were joined by Eckington Cllr Oscar Gomez-Reaney, who said: "The roadshow was a great way for Rykneld Homes to engage with the community and pass on really useful information about their services. It was very positive day with lots of enjoy for families and children."
Not even gale force winds could put off visitors to our Holmewood roadshow! We had a last minute change of plan for our outdoor event which instead was held indoors at St Albans Church.
Local groups were keen to get involved and join us on the day and there were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.
Our roadshow in Dronfield was hosted at the Pioneer Club and we were delighted to be joined by lots of external organisations able to offer help and advice to visitors. Members of the Dronfield 2Gether group were on hand to chat about their activities and North East Derbyshire District Council attended to promote their recycling initiatives.
We received some fantastic feedback from visitors: "Kids had a great time and we only had to pay for the ice cream - brilliant!"
