For the fourth year running we hosted a popular Halloween party in Mickley that brought the community together! We hired the Mickley community building again this year due to its great facilities and central position in the neighbourhood.
Our Community Involvement Team promoted the event by handing out fliers and to the local School, Parish Council and local shop. We also promoted the event on our website and our Twitter page.
There was a great turnout for the event of around 40 children who were accompanied by adults. For just a £1 entry fee the children enjoyed hot dogs, drinks, and healthy fruit snacks!
The children took part in a range of activities such as a disco, a dance off competition, parachute games, best (and spookiest!) dressed, and more!
Jason Sadler, Community Involvement Officer said, “We had another great turnout this year which brought people together to have fun. The staff from Rykneld Homes joined in the fun by dressing in their ghoulish gear or taking part in the activities with the children.
“It would be a shame to lose the community building and we hope it will continue to be used by the neighbourhood for more events like this in the future.”
