Paying your rent if you are off sick or must self-isolate due to the Coronavirus
The Government's Welfare Benefit system is designed to support people who are unable to work due to illness or disability or who need financial support for temporary periods of absence from work due to illness.
The Government is adapting this benefit system due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The rules about which benefit a person can claim during a period of illness can be complicated and depend on an individual's personal circumstances, their household, capital and savings and their employment history.
The following agencies can provide information and support about welfare benefits. We are also in the process of updating our website with further information.
