We are looking for young people to join our group of Community Improvers to help to improve the communities they live in as well as be involved in the running of our business.

We will ask for your views on issues that affect you and your local community. You will also be offered the chance to take part in training sessions and take a lead on community projects, such as:
As long as you are aged 11-19 and live in North East Derbyshire, you can become a Community Improver.
The group meets every 6 weeks at 5 - 6.30pm at our head office in Wingerworth. There are lots of other opportunities to get involved in the school holidays and weekends. If you do not have transport, we can arrange this.
Team building sessions and trips
Some of the benefits of being involved are regular team building sessions such as canoeing and ten pin bowling.
As a reward for the hard work the young people are given dreamscheme points which can be used for trips or activities of their choice, such as trips to Alton Towers, Mountain Biking, and Go Karting.
We can communicate with you by phone, text, email or post and will give you the opportunity to be involved in decision-making relating to your community, Rykneld Homes and North East Derbyshire District Council.
