The village hall committee called a meeting of residents to discuss the future of the Mickley Village Hall on Friday 28th of November 2017.
The committee are now pleased to announce a full committee for the hall has now been formed with a total of seven members.
The committee are full of enthusiasm with plenty of ideas for the future of the hall and we hope that members of the community will engage to make the hall a success.
Cllr Barry Barnes said, "Rykneld Homes have been key leaders in keeping this facility available for the residents of Mickley and have also been working to achieve grants to improve and upgrade the facility with new doors, windows, internal flooring and decoration.
"I would like to thank the original committee members for their continued efforts also Jason Sadler and the Community Involvement Team from Rykneld."
I also cooked a curry for my family following the recipe that I learnt at this session and that went down really well!
Now that this course has finished I will continue to cook from scratch. It's tastier and healthier and you know exactly what goes in your meal. It's also cheaper than buying the ready meals that I used to get from the supermarket."
