We carry out the Annual Gas Safety Checks free of charge for all tenants with gas central heating.
We also have an annual Solid Fuel Servicing Programme.
Gas Servicing is part of your Tenancy Agreement and it is your responsibility to allow us to access your home to carry out the service every year. The servicing comes at no cost to you and by law must be done once a year.
We will write to you in advance of your appointment with a date for your Gas Servicing and Safety Check. If this date is not convenient, please contact us to rearrange it by calling our Contact Centre on 01246 217670 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We may be able to offer appointments outside of our core working hours, such as Saturday visits or appointments up to 5pm, depending on availability.
If you smell gas:
- Turn off the gas supply at the meter
- Open doors and windows
- Call the National Grid’s Emergency Service on 0800 111 999
- Notify Rykneld Homes by calling 01246 217670.
- Use naked flames
- Turn electric switches on or off.
Repairs, Servicing and Heating Upgrades
Our team of Gas Servicing Engineers carry out the servicing appointments. They are Gas Safe registered and will ensure that all gas appliances, associated pipework, flues and chimneys are safe and working correctly and efficiently.
We also have a team of Gas Plumbers who attend your home to carry out any repairs. If your heating system is not working, you should call us to report it using our Freephone emergency repairs number:
